Getting Married in Norway
Destination Weddings & Elopements in Norway
Dreaming of saying your vows surrounded by Norwegian nature — a fjord below, mountains on the horizon, the soft light of a northern summer evening? My name is Stefan Pakaski. I am a wedding photographer and videographer based in Moss, just south of Oslo, and I photograph weddings and elopements all across Norway. Everything — planning, consultations and delivery — happens comfortably in English.
How it works from abroad
We start with a free video call where you tell me about your plans and I answer your questions. If we are a good match, I send a digital contract and an invoice for a 50% booking fee; once both are done, your date is reserved. After the wedding, your edited photos are delivered in a private online gallery, normally within five weeks — wherever in the world you are.
The legal part, briefly
To marry in Norway you need a certificate of no impediment ("prøvingsattest") from the Norwegian Tax Administration, and processing can take a few weeks — so it pays to start early. Many couples from abroad choose a civil ceremony or elope with just the two of them and a couple of witnesses. I am happy to point you to the right resources when we talk.
Travel and locations
Travel within 75 km of Moss is included in all packages, and I am glad to travel further — from Oslo's city hall to the western fjords. For weddings beyond the included area I add a transparent travel quote up front, so there are no surprises.
