Who am I?
Hi! My name is Stefan Pakaski, and I am the person behind the camera. Although I trained as a software engineer, photography, videography and editing have been a burning passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I was already playing around in Photoshop back in primary school, editing pictures of my football idols.
Wedding photography is where I feel most at home. There is something special about being part of one of the biggest days in someone's life. I often catch myself smiling while editing wedding photos, and the joy I see in people gives me energy. To me, a good photograph captures the feeling behind the moment, the warmth of a genuine smile, or the calm of a beautiful landscape. I work comfortably in English, and many of my couples plan their day from abroad or in two languages.
How I work on the wedding day
For most of the day I am a fly on the wall. I move around looking for what happens by itself, and the majority of the photos are taken without you thinking about me being there, the laughter during the preparations, the tear during a speech, the dance floor late at night.
But every wedding day also deserves a few real portraits, the kind you would hang on a wall. For those I will never ask you to stand stiffly and smile. We start with something a little fun and creative, and you usually get something to do rather than a pose to hold. As we go I show you the photos on the back of the camera, that is often the moment people relax and see that this actually looks good.
We hold a planning meeting 1 to 4 weeks before the wedding and walk through the whole day together, so both you and I know what happens when. And I am not tied to Moss: I come to where you are getting married, whether that is Oslo, somewhere else in Norway, or further afield.
